tears streaming down

We are generally not very good, as a society, at creating space for grief. Our culture does not allow very much room for loss. As I reviewed my own grief experiences after reading this, it became very clear to me that acceptance was the turning point in my life. Before I embraced acceptance the emotions I remember most are anger, blame, and self-pity among others. Healing seemed to accelerate when I had the opportunity to help people around me especially when their pain was fresh because I remembered what my needs had been. I'm not talking about any organization, but rather friends and neighbours....people around me.
