God has a plan for you.
40 Days of Praise coming up. Join a small group to get more of it.
From This to That
This is where we are at. That is where we want to be.
Acts 2 the power came down and it was instant. Sometimes it's a long process.
2 Timothy 2:20
In a wealthy home some utensils are made of gold and silver, and some are made of wood and clay. The expensive utensils are used for special occasions, and the cheap ones are for everyday use. If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you (useful) for every good work.
2 Timothy 2:20-21 NLT
Sometimes you just have to cleanse yourself. Get rid of....
Useful is only used 3 times. Onesimus was useful. He stole from his boss then got saved through Paul who sent him back.
John Mark fled from Jesus's arrest scene. Acts 15 he became a problem again.
He became useful. Only Luke is with me. Bring Mark with you when you come, for he will be helpful to me in my ministry.
2 Timothy 4:11 NLT
John Mark was called an under-rower (servant) who served no matter what. Not just for recognition. Only doing what was required. Our Father in heaven shines on the just and unjust. Are we prepared to serve because it's the right thing to do? If you don't serve in love you are nothing.
Some years ago my bosses were living in luxury while I had barely enough. Parents taught me to tithe 20%. Not immoral. Did extra jobs and still did not have enough. Gave the bosses the gears. Felt so sorry. A week later he apologized. Nothing changed except in his heart.
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.
Colossians 3:23-24 NLT
The victim mentality ruins us. Your life is hid in Christ
For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.
Colossians 3:3 NLT
The under-rower had to trust the captain and the drum beater.
God is greater than any thing else. Our God is loving and personal. The Muslims have no assurance of love and salvation.
How much more should we have confidence in God. And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
Philippians 1:6 NLT
"Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.
John 15:5 NLT
I need God's help. John Mark was Peter's translator and recorded the Gospel as presented by Peter in the book of Mark. He started the Church of Egypt. He was martyred.
