The Duecks spent months in New York for leukemia treatment with Renee. God called her home to her reward. Donations in Renee's memory may be made at R&M Dueck Family Foundation at Abundance Canada. Circumstances are not the barometer of God's love and goodness - the cross is.

ReplyDelete"then the friends of Job sat on the ground with him for seven days and seven nights. no one said a word to him, because they saw how great his suffering was."
renee, all i've been able to do is sit in silence and mourn your passing. but something in me tells me that you wouldn't give up what you have now to come back to what was here.
i'll see you up there, i know. but not yet.
in the meantime, your legacy of grace, courage, spontinaity, creativity, passion and laughter rings loudly in the ears of my memory .. and it will for years to come.
thank you.

Hi
ReplyDeleteI'm a stranger but read you're story in the Free Press. My heart aches for you as we too have buried a son (age 25). Although it is 15 years ago the pain comes back when we hear of others going through this. He too was in missionary training and died very suddenly so we never had a chance to say "good-bye". Although time heals the sharpness of the pain, the missing never goes away. Our prayers are with you all.
