One thing that I was thinking about...I remember Justin and Renee as young children enjoying the Mary Poppins movie - they had umbrellas and were jumping off of the chairs downstairs. They were having so much fun together.

I heard about the death of your daughter from Mark and Jobina. I am so sorry for your loss. I have read your blogs. Renee was a wonderful, beautiful woman who had a lot to share with this world. Thank you for sharing a piece of her with us. Our prayers are with you while you mourn the loss of your daughter.

Thank you so much for being so faithful to update this and let us all know what is going on. I can't imagine how hard it is for you to do this during this difficult day. All day I prayed for Renee and your family and asked friends and family to do the same. I feel so far away from it all and so disconnected by the distance. I am thankful for your honest words and trust and hope in God through it all.

Our prayers continue. Heartache only begins to describe what we also feel. We love Renee. We Praise God for the short time we spent with her. We treasure all the more our memories of time spent, words spoken and written. As God carry's you through in the days to come, we will continue to pray for compassionate healing to broken hearts.

I had the honor and pleasure of meeting and getting to know Renee during The Wave USA. She was one of the most creative, loving and fun people I had ever met.
ReplyDeleteOne of the things I remember about her is when the "creative team" were locked up in a hotel for almost a week in Long Beach, CA to work on videos and such for our events. She took over Drew's computer while her and Britt worked away on iMovie and ended up with some incredible Wave USA videos that we used repeatedly. I am amazed at how fast she picked that up.
Your family is in my prayers - you are an example of how to keep love and faith during the toughest of times.

It seems so long ago that Brittany and I met Renee. She was nothing I thought a Canadian would be. The Wave brought so many of us together that perhaps would have never been bound otherwise. I remember Renee sporting a men's necktie as a belt and me thinking how odd it was. Who knew that a year later most female pop stars would be doing the same. I also remember, as Joe did, the weekend we were locked in in Long Beach to "create something." She sat hunched over my Powerbook with my wife as they created some amazing footage. She was so quick at learning the editing program. We bonded that weekend enough to last a full year. I pray for your family and I know Britt does too. Renee will not soon be forgotten and God is sending her out to film the stretches of heaven right now! Stay faithful. Peace be with you....

Thank you for your kind comments. Renee had her own web site long before I even knew what HTML code was. She started me on this blogging journey. She was truly a brilliant type A leader that had huge artistic abilities and truly a loving heart, with a deep concern for the less fortunate. She used both sides of her brain. Please read her blog.
