tears streaming down

We are generally not very good, as a society, at creating space for grief. Our culture does not allow very much room for loss. No – ancient near eastern cultures were much better at grieving than we are. Have you ever wondered where you could go with your grief, or who you could turn to... Click here for more

As I reviewed my own grief experiences after reading this, it became very clear to me that acceptance was the turning point in my life. Before I embraced acceptance the emotions I remember most are anger, blame, and self-pity among others. Healing seemed to accelerate when I had the opportunity to help people around me especially when their pain was fresh because I remembered what my needs had been. I'm not talking about any organization, but rather friends and neighbours....people around me.
