Willowdale Fellowship

Dave Falkwa guest minister at

The trumpet players and singers made music together as if they were only one voice. They praised the Lord. They gave thanks to him. Some of them played their trumpets, cymbals and other instruments. The others raised their voices to praise the Lord. They sang, "He is good. His faithful love continues forever." Then a cloud filled the temple of the Lord.  The priests couldn't do their work because of it. The glory of the Lord filled God's temple.
2 Chronicles 5:13‭-‬14 NIRV

Psalms are worship songs with specific details and requests

Is God's will inline with ours?
He cares about us.
We tend to rush rush. Take it easier is better.
Pray for Ben. Lady Jean with COPD has only a short time to live. Funeral of Christian lady was very healing. True healing is spiritual.
Arthur's mom's brother died. Arthur's doing well. Working full time. Doesn't know what he wants to be.
SIL has fibromyalgia

Dave
You created the deepest parts of my being. You put me together inside my mother's body.  How you made me is amazing and wonderful. I praise you for that. What you have done is wonderful. I know that very well.  None of my bones was hidden from you when you made me inside my mother's body. That place was as dark as the deepest parts of the earth. When you were putting me together there,  your eyes saw my body even before it was formed. You planned how many days I would live. You wrote down the number of them in your book before I had lived through even one of them.  God, your thoughts about me are priceless. No one can possibly add them all up.  If I could count them, they would be more than the grains of sand. If I were to fall asleep counting and then wake up, you would still be there with me.
Psalm 139:13‭-‬18 NIRV

God's been working on this message for a long time. God wants me to say it.
Read
"Listen! A farmer went out to plant his seed. He scattered the seed on the ground. Some fell on a path. Birds came and ate it up. Some seed fell on rocky places, where there wasn't much soil. The plants came up quickly, because the soil wasn't deep. Still other seed fell on good soil. It grew up and produced a crop 30, 60, or even 100 times more than the farmer planted."
Mark 4:3‭-‬5‭, ‬8 NIRV
4 types of results based on conditions
Then Jesus said to them, "Don't you understand this story? Then how will you understand any stories of this kind? The seed the farmer plants is God's message.
Mark 4:13‭-‬14 NIRV
Don't you understand?

We think we are executing the seeding.
Let's look at it the other way. We are the soil. We get locked in on the results and forget the people. Team building is tough. An employee left because I wasn't listening to him. I was the path. Lots of superficial social media posts becomes rocky soil.
We were too busy for neighbors. They stopped going to church. The thorns destroyed the relationship. 25 life groups. We help them find a group. We sacrifice our time.

Good soil. Conflict becomes about growing and learning. Pray. Learned about managing conflicts with each other by going to prayer. God is there. If you are fertile soil God gets the glory. His way changes us to produce fruit. No relationship is ever too complicated.

At 47 Dave was 300 pounds now less than 200. Now taken the time to live healthy. Went on a mud race with Kara to build relationship with her.

If you're breathing God is not done with you yet.

All Peoples Church Joshua

Music by Don Doerksen and daughter Shania of St Adolphe.

Child Dedication is a special time in the life of the Church. Pray a Blessing. A village to raise a child. Holden Unger. Bless you. God's gift of life. Pray God's rich blessing. Everybody touch him and bless him.

Preaching Joshua be strong and courageous.

Shania sang the baby boy was king

Is faith more important than truth?

Joshua chose two men as spies and sent them from their camp at Acacia with these instructions: "Go across the river and find out as much as you can about the whole region, especially about the town of Jericho." The two spies left the Israelite camp at Acacia and went to Jericho, where they decided to spend the night at the house of a prostitute named Rahab.  So the king sent soldiers to Rahab's house to arrest the spies. Meanwhile, Rahab had taken the men up to the flat roof of her house and had hidden them under some piles of flax plants that she had put there to dry. The soldiers came to her door and demanded, "Let us have the men who are staying at your house. They are spies." She answered, "Some men did come to my house, but I didn't know where they had come from. They left about sunset, just before it was time to close the town gate. I don't know where they were going, but if you hurry, maybe you can catch them." The guards at the town gate let the soldiers leave Jericho, but they closed the gate again as soon as the soldiers went through. Then the soldiers headed toward the Jordan River to look for the spies at the place where people cross the river.  "Rahab," the spies answered, "if you keep quiet about what we're doing, we promise to be kind to you when the Lord gives us this land. We pray that the Lord will kill us if we don't keep our promise!"
Joshua 2:1‭, ‬3‭-‬7‭, ‬14 CEV

A crumpled or new dollar bill are worth the same.

Rahab The Prostitute is called The Prostitute in the New Testament. The title sticks.
Joshua sent spies. They went everywhere. 38 years earlier Joshua was a spy. Milk and honey. There are giants in the land. 10 men said we can't do it. Only Joshua and Caleb had faith. Only the 2 entered the Promised Land.

1. Where they went.
Check out Jericho. Rahab always had strange men coming and going. The spies went to her house to camouflage them. Someone noticed them. 10,000,000 Israelites were only 10 miles away. Rahab told a huge lie to protect them. She ran a brothel on the city wall. Lying was part of her life.

Lying cannot ever be justified.

2. What the spies heard.
I know God has given this land to you. The inhabitants are petrified of the Israelites. They had heard about the Red Sea. They knew that their days were numbered. Og the giant with the 6'x13' bed was defeated.

The Lord your God has already given the land to you, she says. The enemy the devil knows he has been defeated. The Lord is God of heaven and earth. The Israelites did not seem to know that. Do we trust God on Monday?

3. What the spies did
Preserve the house with the scarlet cord. Symbolize the blood of Christ.
The 2 dollar bills are guaranteed by the government.
Her faith made her righteous.
Which is more important? Character or faith? FAITH.
Justification is by faith. Rahab trusted God.
They rescued her and put her in a separate place. Eventually she became part of the genealogy of Jesus?.

The Wheat and the Weeds

Johnny Dodsworth Associate Pastor www.EasTview.org

Jesus told the crowd another story. "Here is what the kingdom of heaven is like," he said. "A man planted good seed in his field. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the workers what to do. Here is what I will say to them. First collect the weeds. Tie them in bundles to be burned. Then gather the wheat. Bring it into my storeroom.' "
Matthew 13:24‭, ‬30 NIRV

Song New Wine Make me vessel

Good morning. Children's Feature
Week 3 of Parables

Kingdoms advance by force.
The kingdom of heaven does not. Jesus says the kingdom of heaven is like a sower.
Get your Sermon guide to journal what Jesus wants to teach us.
What does Jesus want to teach?

Then Jesus left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him. They said, "Explain to us the story of the weeds in the field."  They will throw them into the blazing furnace. There people will sob and grind their teeth. Then God's people will shine like the sun in their Father's kingdom. Those who have ears should listen.
Matthew 13:36‭, ‬42‭-‬43 NIRV

A parable only explains a little bit so we need to be careful not to create theology.
The Sower Jesus
The Field the world
Good seed Jesus's people
The enemy the devil

Jesus flipped expectations upside down
Jesus was speaking to the Jews with a violent background.
The church is advancing. Peace and gentleness.

People from many nations will go there. They will say, "Come. Let us go up to the Lord's mountain. Let's go to the house of Jacob's God. He will teach us how we should live. Then we will live the way he wants us to." The law of the Lord will be taught at Zion. His message will go out from Jerusalem.  He will judge between the nations. He'll settle problems among many of them. They will hammer their swords into plows. They'll hammer their spears into pruning tools. Nations will not go to war against one another. They won't even train to fight anymore.
Isaiah 2:3‭-‬4 NIRV

The Jews thought they should bring God to the world. Jesus will eliminate evil from the world. Pray that the kingdom will come on earth as in heaven.

Are the weeds condemned to be that way?
Gentile and Jews can't be identified. Only God can separate. Weeds and wheat. Darnel weed looked very much like wheat. Bring the message of the gospel. Jesus is the judge.
Gently sow the seed. Imitate Jesus. Ceasar had no control over sowers of peace.
We don't have to be weeds but proclaim.
Not ours to judge. Only God can do that. Who is a wheat and who is a weed?
Jesus hung out with sinners and they became wheat.
Jesus invites us to partner with him with the good news. There will be persecution.
The righteous will shine like the sun. Evil eliminated. What a promise! Read the parable again. Meditate on it.

Luke 10:1-11 Psalm 66 Selah
Selah is an important word that appears 3 times in Psalm 66. It appears 3 times in OT. Habakkuk 3
It's a direction for the singer or reader to rest stop listen. One of the reasons for worship is rest stop listen.

You went out for the salvation of your people, for the salvation of your anointed. You crushed the head of the house of the wicked, laying him bare from thigh to neck. Selah
Habakkuk 3:13 ESV

Do a study of the word Selah. How did I get here? It's a good exercise. Stop look and listen. Those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. Start with 3 minutes. Breathe in, breathe out. How did I get here? Look backward look forward Selah.
Let us pray.

Dr. David Jeremiah session 8

God has given you EVERYTHING YOU NEED
BROTHERLY KINDNESS
Opening David Michael Jeremiah
What does it mean to live life in godliness? God's promises EVERYTHING for life and godliness. For that reason add... BROTHERLY KINDNESS
The real definition of Jesus followers. The mailman Floyd Martens retired with a big party. He was their pastor and confidant. Mr. Rogers Neighborhood was the opposite of the world's media. Peter wanted us to LIVE IN Philadelphia the city of brotherly kindness.
I. Forge Your Friendships with Trust Ephesians 4:25
The commentary to describe the Philadelphia Christian life. With tender humility and quiet patience, always demonstrate gentleness and generous love toward one another, especially toward those who may try your patience. Ephesians 4:2 TPT https://bible.com/bible/1849/eph.4.2.TPT
Paul's 7 delivery points of what it means to be a Christian
Forge friendships. We're members of one another. Trusting spirit. Being honest doesn't mean to bury the next person. Trust each other. Honest kind. Be angry but sin not. Be angry about sin but not at people. Anger is the most fun sin. You eat yourself. The more you grow up the less you blow up. Settle your issues before you go to bed. We live in an angry world. Don't sin. Anger gives the devil a foothold.
II. Fill Your Relationships with Grace Ephesians 4:26-27 don't be angry.
Ill. Feed Someone Who ls Hungry Ephesians 4:28
Quit stealing and work so you can share and help others. Help the homeless. Be willing to be suckered rather than not sharing. Buy them a pizza. Ask the Lord for sensitivity. Help the helpless. Adopt. Add radical kindness.
IV. Fortify others with Your Words Ephesians 4:29
Impart grace. No gutter mouths. Compliment at least one person every day. Fiddler on the Roof. Got 4 tickets. Yiddish. Went anyway. It was fun. Great story. Let the office know that they are good. That comes back to you. Abraham Lincoln carried an article by someone who appreciated him. Quit being snakes.
V. Flush Bitterness out of Your Spirit Ephesians 4:30-31
Do not grieve the Holy Spirit. He lives within us. Don't make speeches about how you'll get even. Foster was expelled from the University when she was young. She now got an honorary degree.
Vl. Find New Ways to Practice Kindness Ephesians 4:32
I don't have to agree with you. Practice kindness.
Vll. Forgive quickly Ephesians 4:32
Be kind tender hearted. Forgiveness and kindness. Random acts of kindness creates a chain reaction. Buy a meal for someone who's mad
Conclusion

Dr. David Jeremiah session 7

GODLINESS
Introduction 1 Timothy 3:16: John 1:18; 1 Peter 2:9-12
July 4 weekend is the least attended Sunday. Had a big car show. Honor the military. They cry. Gave away 4,000 medals. 2 marines repelled down the ceiling. Had indoor fireworks. Proud to be American. Everyone wants to come here.
Everything you need is in the Bible.
and to understanding add the strength of self-control, and to self-control add patient endurance, and to patient endurance add godliness, 2 Peter 1:6 TPT https://bible.com/bible/1849/2pe.1.6.TPT
Someone broke into Roman's house and cleaned it top to bottom. We need cleaning from the inside out. We have that yearning. The mystery of godliness is only available through Jesus. God has no grandchildren.
The only way to heaven is by God's grace. Not your works. When you accept His gift you take it from there and live out God's blessings. Jesus is the earthly portrait of God. Jesus showed us what God would do. Read Jesus to know God. Study Him. You are the only Jesus many people will ever do. I'm different because of Jesus. In preparation for the role of Judy Garland, Renee Zellweger she studied Judy to be like her.
I want to be like Jesus. Read his word. WHAT WOULD JESUS DO? Study what Christ is like.
I. Examining Your Identity A. You Are God's Possession 1 Peter 2:9-10; Deuteronomy 7:6
You are chosen. His SPECIAL people. But you are God's chosen treasure—priests who are kings, a spiritual "nation" set apart as God's devoted ones. He called you out of darkness to experience his marvelous light, and now he claims you as his very own. He did this so that you would broadcast his glorious wonders throughout the world . 1 Peter 2:9 TPT https://bible.com/bible/1849/1pe.2.9.TPT
If you are a Christian you are unique and special. Peter wrote to the everyday believer. I never felt special. You can have a special relationship with Jesus. God wants you. Jesus loves you.
B. You Are God's Pilgrim 1 Peter 2:11; 1 Chronicles 29:15; Philippians 3:21
Sojourner and pilgrim. Not John Wayne. We're not citizens of earth going to heaven, but citizens of heaven going through earth. My watch needs to be kept on heaven time. John Bunyan's book is still a best seller. The Celestial City is what he was obsessed with. As Christians we want to build our spiritual muscles.
C. You Are God's Platform 1 Peter 2:12
We're to be witnesses a testimony to everyone. The Nuba people are bombed. Dr. Katina is Jesus Christ to them. Honorable conduct. Our hands become the hands of Jesus.
II. Exercising Your Identity
A. Godliness ls About ownership-Act Like You Belong 1 Corinthians 6:20; Romans 1:6-7; 8:1;14:8
You belong to God. Don't embarrass Him. You are not your own. Honor God. We belong to him. Our world has lost its sense of belonging. We have become faceless button pushers. There is no condemnation for those who belong to Jesus. Let his wish be your will. Trust him.
B. Godliness Is About Citizenship-Keep Your Eyes on Heaven 2 Peter 3:10-14
Keep your watch on heaven's time. You become like the place you want to go and who you want to follow. Don't you think you'd want know about the place you're going to spend eternity.
C. Godliness Is About Stewardship-Carry out Your Assignment Peter 2:12
Carry out your assignment. 500,000 people attend Satish's church in a Hindu environment in India. They bake cakes for everyone's birthday and do so much good doing their ministry. They have their own cemetery. They give away 20,000 chicken dinners.
Conclusion 1 Timothy 4:8
While you are here as a pilgrim. Work on this.
Thank you for attending this session! This message is scheduled to air on Turning Point Television October 27, 2019

Dr. David Jeremiah session 5 Self Control

San Diego Chargers Draymond Green is a new man because his 2 year old showed him what he looked like.

Self Control the 4th tool in Peter's tool kit
God has given us everything we need if we take advantage of his gifts.
Where do you most need Self Control? God taught Peter Self Control. We're now studying what he wrote.
Self Control is one of the main issues in the New Testament.
1.0 Self Control deserves priority. It's make or break.
2.0 Self Control displays maturity. Paul visited the island of Crete that was infamous for evil and liars and gluttons. Instead he should be one who is known for his hospitality and a lover of goodness. He should be recognized as one who is fair-minded, pure-hearted, and self-controlled. A certain one of them, one of their own prophets, said, "Those Cretans are nothing but liars, worthless beasts, and lazy gluttons."
Titus 1:8‭, ‬12 TPT
This goes on in our city. God wants to purify us as Spirit controlled disciples. No one had self Control
3.0 Self Control deepens discipline. Barbara needs discipline and Organization. Freedom is the length of a cord from the point of restraint. The kids can run in the fenced back yard but not the front yard.
Limitations give freedom.
4.0 Self Control demands strategy. There is no such thing as time management. Only self management.
4.1 Ask for the Holy Spirit's help. As you yield freely and fully to the dynamic life and power of the Holy Spirit, you will abandon the cravings of your self-life. For your self-life craves the things that offend the Holy Spirit and hinder him from living free within you ! And the Holy Spirit's intense cravings hinder your old self-life from dominating you! So then, the two incompatible and conflicting forces within you are your self-life of the flesh and the new creation life of the Spirit.
Galatians 5:16‭-‬17 TPT
If you follow the Holy Spirit you can be free. Gallup was an alcoholic. Jesus saved him. Controlled him. The only way to be able to have self discipline.
4.2 Adjust your thoughts
So then, prepare your hearts and minds for action! Stay alert and fix your hope firmly on the marvelous grace that is coming to you. For when Jesus Christ is unveiled, a greater measure of grace will be released to you.
1 Peter 1:13 TPT
Your body doesn't want tobacco or alcohol. The mind wants it.
Set your mind on Christ. The things of heaven. Most battles begin with your mind
4.3 Aquire New Habits. Steven King got lots of rejections. Now one of the most successful writers always writing 10 pages a day. Self-discipline is his freedom to fulfill him. Exercise profits a little. Get into your spiritual gym and exercise toward godliness. Ask God to give you a small victory. Your habits will become better. Omit one item a week. Don't play with your self control. Read a verse every day. Reading the Bible in a year could be hard. Clean one drawer this week. Do something. Better to do something than nothing. If you fall in a hole today take a different route tomorrow.
4.4 Avoid Tight Spots. Don't put yourself into the same spot. Take your problems off your agenda. If your television offends you throw it out
4.5 Accept the process. With the Holy Spirit's help. If you fail don't give up. Don't get haughty. Start again. For the lovers of God may suffer adversity and stumble seven times, but they will continue to rise over and over again. But the unrighteous are brought down by just one calamity and will never be able to rise again .
Proverbs 24:16 TPT
When the horses get away from you you're in trouble. Ask God to show you the enemy's strategy. The pathway to the problem has to be shut down.

Download Airship Genesis game Pathways to Jesus
July 4th is a privilege to be in New York
Each time you read Scriptures it jumps out at you.

Knowledge
2 Peter May grace and perfect peace cascade over you as you live in the rich knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
2 Peter 1:2 TPT

People who follow 2 Peter will never stumble

But continue to grow and increase in God's grace and intimacy with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May he receive all the glory both now and until the day eternity begins. Amen!
2 Peter 3:18 TPT

Marriages fail because of slow leaks.

So devote yourselves to lavishly supplementing your faith with goodness, and to goodness add understanding,
2 Peter 1:5 TPT

Education is always a plus. You find out what you didn't know. I still have things to learn.

This is Peter's exit letter. Nero was emperor. He ended up crucified upside down. These were the final words to his congregations. Grow in grace. 14 times Peter said knowledge. There is no premium for ignorance.
You need to know what you know. All your mind to love God.
Steps
1.0 I will follow Jesus.  Like the disciples did. Day by day wherever He went. Jesus said I AM THE TRUTH. Get in line with him.
What is a Christian? You have an opportunity to become a Christian. Decision. We become Christ followers.
1.1 Move from the shoreline. Disciple was a follower. Long before they were called Christians. Say I'm a disciple of Jesus Christ. I'm a learner. Mathew 4 I'll make you fishers of men. Jesus was the ultimate story teller. Tell a story to open the truth. Follow Jesus and he'll change your life. Lord you have a plan for me. I want to follow. When you follow Jesus your life gets exciting. Get away from your comfort zone.
1.2 Move from Head Knowledge to Heart Knowledge. A pastor's job is to teach.
God gave us brains for a reason. Knowledge here means the most intimate relationship there is. It's not knowing about but to know personally.
2.0 I will study you
2.1 Study His Word as a textbook. Start there. Not stop there. It's a treasure trove direct from God. Today more than ever, we have resources like never before. There is still a lot I have to learn. Underline the words "these things". There are new things you'll learn. That brings healing. The living Word is in the written Word. If you want to know Christ know his Word. Ruth Bell Graham: Have a special place to study the Bible. Take notes. Always keep your Bible open. Study every day. Start with 10 minutes. Started to journal when he had cancer 20 years ago. What a rich time it was! Millennials have fall fallen in love with the Word again. What does the Bible have to say.
2.2 Study His Word as a survival guide. You are in a storm or going into one or coming out of one.
18 year old Aldi was adrift for months. After 49 days it rained. He read the Bible. The Lord's Prayer became so real. 66 installments from God.
Don't wait until you're in trouble. Storms are coming. Know where the promises are. Isaiah has more than any other book.
3.0 I will obey
3.1 Be prepared to Change your Values.  Get in the Word. When you fall in love Jesus old things fall away and things become new.
3.2 Be prepared to Change your Vision. Tony Evans said the Bible is the vision.
It's not a doorstop. Go find it. Read something every day. Practice.
The best way to get to heaven is through the front door shouting Hallelujah.

Dr Jeremiah Session 3

Dr Jeremiah Session 3

Recorded for television July 2, 2019
VIRTUE Quality control will make or break any commercial enterprise. Quality control is essential in business, in public utilities, in agriculture in education, in sports - in every area of life. And it is vital to our personalities too. You and I are not exempt from the need for personal quality control. If we're going to be strong and effective people who can withstand the pressures of this world and bear a testimony and leave behind a legacy we must be people of quality.
The Bible has a word for that - virtue.
That's a word we seldom hear anymore, but it in the Bible. It's the Bible's quality control division, and the apostle Peter tells us we should be diligent about adding virtue to our faith (2 Pet. 1:5).
If you long to be a person of moral excellence in our anything-goes culture, let Dr. Jeremiah show you the ways God is equipping you to live a quality life!
