SBC's Ignite at Mennville

We stayed the night at Martha's mom. She was in the hospital Friday Saturday with various issues this week and appreciated us being there in case she would need an ambulance or help.

Lots of beautiful easy listening inspirational music.

A little bit of Southern Gospel. Just a little Talk with Jesus.  Love it.

Thanks for hosting us. Greetings from Sarah. Send her an email let her know you're praying for her.

Philippians 2 It's all about attitude
It determines how we act.

Attitude is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, money, circumstances, than failures and success, than what other people think, say, or do. It is more important than appearance, ability, or skill. It will make or break a business, a home, a friendship, an organization. The remarkable thing is I have a choice every day of what my attitude will be. I cannot change my past. I cannot change the actions of others. I cannot change the inevitable. The only thing I can change is attitude. Life is ten percent what happens to me and ninety percent how I react to it.

Charles R. Swindoll

1. A submissive attitude
2. A servant's attitude
3. A sacrificial attitude

1. We think we have individual rights to decide everything about me. Paul said we should have an obedient attitude to Christ. Give up your rights.
Please your neighbour to build him up. Don't Lord it over others.

When we choose not to love others we are not having a good attitude.

2. Jesus became a servant. As God he could have demanded we serve him.
The world tells us to do everything we can to get ahead.
Seek to serve others

3. We strive for major achievements. Have titles. Jesus humbled himself. To give it all away. A giver not a getter.
Pride wants to build myself up. Humble we build up others.
Through Jesus's poverty we become rich.
Sacrificial attitude. Give instead of receive. Consider others better than yourself.

Another song by Ignite group:

In this time of desperation
When all we know is doubt and fear
There is only one foundation
We believe, we believe
In this broken generation
When all is dark, You help us see
There is only one salvation
We believe, we believe

We believe in God the Father
We believe in Jesus Christ
We believe in the Holy Spirit
And He's given us new life
We believe in the crucifixion
We believe that He conquered death
We believe in the resurrection
And He's coming' back again, we believe. The Newboys

The potluck smells make me hungry!
