What does it look like when we empty our self glory? 

Blessed. Happy.

A man was lost in the desert and found a shack. Found a rusty pump. Nothing came. He found a bottle of water with a note to pour it into the pump. He could choose to drink the old water or risk all for fresh cold water. 

You must make choices. SALT. LIGHT. HURT.

Matt 5:13 salt was a preservative. Prosciutto.

People want to jump in to help to show they are needed. You are not the savior. Are you stopping the decay.

2. You are the light to be seen to give glory to God. 

We live in a fighting age. Grey Matter book. A church that is different will attract.

Not just you and me

4. Mission

Not just selfies

Do we live an easy life? Not

2. Terror. 

Hurt. Salt Light will hurt. You'll be persecuted. You'll get a reward. A blessing. 

Blessed are you when...

2 Tim 3:12 you will suffer persecution for Jesus's sake.

Jesus is the most hated human in history. Both grandfathers died in Russian prison for being pastors. They died for Jesus. 

3. The Hero

There is a special spirit in us. Did your camp counselor tell you you would be persecuted? 

Phil 2:5-11 Jesus set aside divinity and lived a selfless life and died a terrible death. 

Every year 100,000 believers lose their lives for Jesus. 

The guy at the pump poured the water into the pump. You have to give it all away to get anything back.
