John 11
A man named Lazarus was sick. He lived in Bethany with his sisters, Mary and Martha. Then he said, "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but now I will go and wake him up." So he told them plainly, "Lazarus is dead. Thomas, nicknamed the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, "Let's go, too—and die with Jesus." Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if only you had been here, my brother would not have died. Jesus told her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Then Jesus wept. Then Jesus shouted, "Lazarus, come out!" And the dead man came out, his hands and feet bound in graveclothes, his face wrapped in a headcloth. Jesus told them, "Unwrap him and let him go!"

The cemetery evokes emotions. 4 funerals in the last 4 weeks makes me reflective. Death is something we have no control over.
When will I die? We plan to live not die.
If Jesus could not handle death then everything he did would be meaningless.
Jesus dealt with death.
For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your faith is useless.
1 Corinthians 15:13-14
You want to see a miracle?
Has death been spoken over you?
Are you emotionally dead?
The one you love is ill.
The Father will get the glory. Everything needs to glorify God.
Jesus said you need to wait. Resolve the problem?
Nothing ends in death.
There are a lot of people in the story. Thomas the doubter had questions. He was riddled with unbelief. Let's go die with Jesus.
Martha met Jesus saying you don't care. Mary was sitting in discouragement. Why bother? Her faith had died. Satan likes discouragement.
Jesus talked to daddy. Prayer was his response to hard times. Get rid of the deadness. Unbind the death. It does not have the final word.
Jesus told her, "I am the resurrection and the life.
He calls you by name. He called only Lazarus.
Jesus was a man of sorrows. Jesus is calling you out of the deadness of your marriage. We think we can fix it on our own.
Pray. Jesus I let you take control today.
