Living: For Others

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.

Others
What is the church? What would the world look like if God were in charge?
Meeting the needs of others is foundational in reflecting God. Do we develop donor fatigue?

If our motivation is in the wrong place it can be damaging. 7 sons of the priest thought they could drive out a demon but the demon overpowered them. Acts 17

Jesus said invite the poor. Don't just consider them a project.

Genesis 12:1-3 you will be a blessing
Matthew http://bible.com/111/mat.6.25.NIV "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
It's hard to be a blessing when we worry.
Trust God to meet your needs and God will bless you and make you a blessing.

We help others and expect recognition. That's wrong. We need to do it because of what God has given us.

The love of Christ motivates us. Even when people are ungrateful.

When we meet needs the way God wants us to there are going to be people that will pick up the desire to help others.

God wants to pour into others like Jesus did for us.
