Meet the Pharisees

Del Enns www.EasTview.org
The pastor at Del's church when he was a young man considered everything to be a sin. It was easy to call him a Pharisee.
We all long to do what is right. We are always looking for a better life.
Luke 11 father was Abba a loving relationship. V9-10 ask what is right or wrong. God will tell you. But don't get discouraged. The holy spirit will eventually reveal it to you.
V29 Do we follow man made rules because they are easier than waiting for God?
Who do you want to judge? Your judgement will come back to you?
Jesus reserved his harshest words for the phony religious people. Those are the people that believed very much what we believe.
7 sects of Pharisees always argued about their superior religion.
Jesus went to a Pharisee's home and deliberately did not wash his hands to try to teach him something.
Jesus said to clean your insides by giving gifts to the poor. Take care of the poor.
Don't major on the minors.
V44 Jesus insulted the Pharisees by calling them unmarked graves.
V47 Pharisees killed prophets and built monuments in their honor.
V52 what are we teaching the next generation? Stop being a Pharisee. Allow the spirit of God to lead you.
Read the Psalm of single mindedness.
