Obituary. Gerard was passionate.
Gerard Scott-Herridge was a passionate man, whether it be for his wife, family, the church, friends or patients.

Gerard was born April 13, 1954 in Liverpool England.  He immigrated to Winnipeg with his mother, sister and father in 1958.  Gerard attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, graduating in 1976, the beginning of one of his passions.

On October 31, 1979 he surrendered his life and heart to Jesus Christ which arguably initiated his greatest passion. A marriage, as an answer to prayer, to Roberta (nee Penner), his queen, followed shortly thereafter in 1981. His family continued to grow with the birth of his children; Crystal in 1982, Joel in 1984 and Evan in 1987.

Although his biological family may have been complete there was a desire to expand his spiritual family with brothers and sisters in Christ. Gerard would share his faith at the Remand Centre, Headingly Correctional Institution, Stony Mountain Institution, Milner Ridge Correctional Centre, Main Street Project, fostering children and anyone that would call on him for help. In 1991, Gerard left his active Church to start Bride of Christ Ministries. The prime objective of this ministry was to spread the Gospel of Jesus to the downtrodden, imprisoned, homeless and the hurting. He always wanted to help in any way he could, whether it be to feed, clothe or find housing.

Gerard passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019. He was predeceased by his father, Dennis Scott-Herridge in 2016.  He is survived by; his mother Monica Scott-Herridge, his sister Sandra Bartakovich, his wife Roberta, daughter Crystal (Ben), granddaughters Micah and Amalia, son Joel (Anne), grandchildren Zachary and Elizabeth, and son Evan (Trista), grandson Fletcher.
