1st Sunday of advent. Living without fear

Search the heavens search the stars there is no one like our God.

Take my world it weighs too much for me.

Dave Ens
1st Sunday of Advent. Preparing for the arrival. Anticipation. Stress. Dread. Excitement. Gifts. Tension. God with us. Salvation. A singular gift with many layers.
Lots of people are filled with fear. God says don't be afraid.
What decisions we make are based on fear? God gives us a gift of life without fear.
Is it worth fearing our fear?
Luke 1 26 In the sixth month of Elizabeth's pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a village in Galilee, 27to a virgin named Mary. She was engaged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of King David. 28Gabriel appeared to her and said, "Greetings, favored woman! The Lord is with you!

We don't want something new. Is the thing you fear really a threat?

Mary was on a normal trajectory of life as a Jewish teenager engaged to be married. She accepted God's interruption.
Mary accepted the new.

Mary had things to fear. Death shame dishonor. She was willing to let God be God.

A God initiated encounter always gets past the fear if we say yes to God. Do good instead of no harm.

Are you afraid of losing something of real importance? Don't be afraid. You are more valuable than MANY sparrows.

Is the thing you fear really powerful? Can it actually hurt you?

God's mercy goes from generation to generation.
There is nothing greater than God's ability to save. Why do I fear anything? God invites us to a life without fear.

Dave Toycen World Vision

ISIS ISLAM & JESUS
at www.TheMeetinghouse.com pastor Burkholder
Fear tolerance respect
There are some common goals all people. Help the Muslims so they ask why are you here? We are here because Jesus loves you.
Jesus is constantly challenging his disciples to help the disadvantaged.
A religious leader in Afghanistan said 1 of 70 women die in childbirth.
They put on a 17 week course to help. The leader said he would assure the safety of the workers.
In Mauritania they were advised to leave for safety. He called the chief imam and their safety was assured.
A boy was dying of aids. He loved spending time with Dave.
Jesus said bring the children to me. The poor ragged ones too.
Children have a voice that needs to be heard. You have to address their needs. It is transformative for us. Let my heart be broken with the things that break the heart of God.
Caring is not easy. 6.3 million children are dying from preventable diseases.
It is emotional. Jesus wept twice. Lazarus died. The community was morning. See how he loved him. God so loved us he gave his son. Tears are not enough. Do something! Do you love me? Go to work!
44 year old daughter in law has cancer. Son says God is good all the time.
By the rules of the universe we all have to die. Jesus broke that rule when he died for us!

Baptism Sunday. Outrageous Faith

15 new members joined www.EasTview.org today. 12 baptisms and 3 transfers!
Each candidate shared their faith journey with the church congregation. A packed building!
Then they were baptised on confession of faith in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
VERY ENCOURAGING!

Most of the baptismal candidates grew up in evangelical Christian homes. One came from a Catholic home. She was invited to church and youth group by an EasTview.org youth. Corie, the youth pastor did most of the baptisms.

Choir Song: I'm gonna to rise up singing gonna praise my Lord. Gonna praise my Lord on the mountain top until I drop.

The world has yet to see what God can do through a life totally committed to God.

Blessed be the name of the Lord! The name of the Lord is a strong tower the righteous run into it and they are saved.

Financial Generosity

Searing loss

How Deep The Father's Love For Us
How deep the Father's love for us,
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure
How great the pain of searing loss,
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the chosen One,
Bring many sons to glory
Behold the Man upon a cross,
My sin upon His shoulders
Ashamed I hear my mocking voice,
Call out among the scoffers
It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished
I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection
Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom

Money

Money enhances character. We all have banks.  The bank deposit book shows where your heart is.
You are busy making money then you have to get busy spending money.  Then you have to get busy making more money then you have to get busy spending money.

Why?
If we don't have money we think God is not blessing us. If we pursued God instead of money, we would be successful. If you pursued God you would achieve significance.
When you pursue what God wants you to be,  you achieve significance.

When you pursue God you will be blessed to be a blessing!

Follow after God and the score card changes. Generosity is a heart issue, not a pocket book issue.

2 Cor 9 you reap what you sow. What have you decided to give. If God has 10% of your heart, you'll give 10%!?

How much of God is in your heart? Generosity is a gospel issue. Not a law.
Generosity is a gospel privilege. God is generous.
Generosity is an act of worship. Prov 3:9-10 your vats will run over with new wine. Give more get more is wrong.
Release to God out of gratefulnes.
Guilting people does not bring money. Thankfulness to God.
Being generous with money is dependant on how much of him is in it.
God does not need your money.

How do we live a generous life?
Heart checkup. How much of God is in you? Willingness to give cheerfully from the heart.
God wants to enjoy your grateful gift.
Don't write another cheque as taxes
Change your view of money. God uses money to spread the gospel. It is not the end goal but the means to reach others.

God has given everything.

Memorial service for Doris Plett (Harms)

Doris was born on September 10, 1951 passed away September 16, 2014.
1957 Leonard passed away. He was Doris's favorite brother.
Doris was a patient caregiver to her mom.
She married Burt in 72. They had 2 children Kelly and Sheree. In 2001 she was diagnosed with lymphoma. She was predeceased by her parents and 5 siblings and in-laws.

All her kids' friends loved her. She was a wonderful grandma. Being a mother isn't easy.
She loved working in the garden and baking lots of goodies. She was a hard working and a very loving mother.
She had a strong faith. She sang The Lord is my Shepherd for her grandchildren every day.
The cousins sang: The Lord is my Shepherd I'll walk with him always. A round song.

Tribute to Doris by Alviera Plett. Friendship that began in the early teens. Shared many previous times together. Ice cream. Spiced peanuts in Granville.

Did double dates. Shared many times together. Baked the best kiwi chocolate cake. One time the pancakes got burned.

She was a friend to older people and younger people. She always sent cards. One card says a true friend is forever.

She was a special friend. We all miss her.

Slideshow. Vibrant young marrieds. Clearly in love.

Outrageous Generosity

C2C promo video www.EasTview.org
http://www.one88.org/ is a result of outreach and helping to change the inner city of Winnipeg.
Mark Burch. With C2C: http://www.mennonitebrethren.ca/ministry/c2c/

Ottawa church was a giant urban church who now has 3 church plant couples starting inner city churches.

Our personal lives. 2 Cor 8 the church gave themselves generously. Jesus was rich and gave it up for us.

Generosity is not just about money. Unselfish. Large. Abundant as in slice of pie.
It's about a way of life rooted in the gospel. There is a generous person inside each of us. Genesis 1 we are made in the image of God. The family traits of God are in our DNA.
2. The gospel is a gospel of generosity. There is nothing we can do to help ourselves. We are born sinful. We don't have to teach children to sin. How can I get right with God? Can't be done by us. Jesus has done it for you.
The great exchange. The substitute is Jesus. That's outrageous generosity.

3. If you're not generous you don't get the gospel. Generous living is in Jesus. Generosity is there from cover to cover. God blesses so you can be generous.
The Jewish rules required people to take a lot of time off. So they could be generous. Jesus asked us to lay down our lives. So we can be blessed.
On our own we can't be generous. We need Jesus to make us generous.
Thanks be to God. He gave us the very best.

What are the barriers to release that generosity gene? You think you don't have enough? Check the widow's donation. Too old? Tell the 84 year old widow. Boca Roton church Spanish River Presbyterian planted 100s of new churches including 4 C2Cs in Canada.
If God gave you $37mm how much could you do with that. This church family earns that each year. Based on statistics. If you made more than $50,000 last year you are wealthier than 99% of the world's population.

Holy Spirit

Choir led by Lisa Hamm
Next week at www.EasTview.org Outrageous Generosity

Delbert Enns pastor:
Maybe your life is uneventful and discouraging. Community hekps you feel good. The life Jesus called us to live is so much more. Bad company corrupts. Find people who can encourage you. Surround yourself with people who build you up spiritually. Desire growth. Ask Jesus to reveal himself to you.
You are made for so much more! Surround yourself with people who care to help you achieve so much more in Jesus.
Let Jesus become greater in your life. We often live in mediocrity. Open your eyes to Jesus. Get a real encounter with Jesus.
2 Kings 6 the king was getting wire tapped. v15 they sent the best troops to capture Elisha. But Elisha said there are more on our side than theirs.

When you see the enemy ask the Lord to open your eyes to see the forces of God on your side.
The glory of God surrounds you.
When the eyes of the enemies were opened they had a feast and saw that there is only one living God in the world.
We need truth tellers in our lives. Eph 1:18 Paul prays for us too. We are children of the heavenly Father.
Elisha followed Elijah. What do you want from me? A double spirit of your power. Elisha struck the river and it parted. The 50 prophets were watching and realized that Elisha was the new prophet. You have loved ones watching you too. They will rejoice with you and your new power.

Share with one another. Pray that God will open your eyes to his love. Hold each other accountable. Celebrate the Lord's supper and invite your friends to come and share in this love.

All to Jesus I surrender. Let me know that I am yours.

Christ has called us to outrageous life.

Leader Impact evening

The Artisan Soul
Erwin Raphael McManus. Author speaker.
Grew up in El Salvador
Raised by grandparents. Mom married again. He earned the right to go to psych ward by age of 12. Learned to live in a dreamworld.
Wrote a new book. Everyone is creative. Innovators are unmanageable.
Fill your life with action.
We all have a concert of voices in our head. They contradict each other.
Some of us have reinforcing voices but most don't.
Psychologists are often confused.

Talked to a group of investors about beauty and truth. The Artisan Soul book has a story about being thrown out of the house naked as a kid. Was ashamed. Why? Who told him to be ashamed? Adam and Eve had that experience.
They had the privilege of eating freely, naked, and unashamed.
God asked who told you that you are naked? What voice are you allowing to define you?

There are people who have their theology right but no relationship with Jesus. Jesus is the voice that speaks life into your soul.

Voices of failure kill you. The story you believe in your life. When you believe you have no value that will kill you.

Everything you do projects meaning. Why do we let the bad voices eat you?

What does God's voice sound like? Is it a parasite in your head?

A woman was caught in adultery. Jesus did not see her nakedness he saw her shame.

2000 years ago when God stepped into human history and offers us a life without shame. Why does Jesus have to die? There is a cure for every disease. Jesus is the cure for shame and death.

In L.A. all kinds of people attend Mosaic. I ask them and you to stand to say I want to give my life to Jesus tonight.

Community

Dave Ens www.EasTview.org
2 Kings 6 - let's build a bigger school! Everyone cut down a tree. One guy lost his special axe in the river. Elisha threw a stick in the water and the axe floated. He told his student to go pick it up and be more careful. Story done. But he made the student go into the water to retrieve the axe head.
Gal 6:20 everyone helps each other to do what God wants us to do. Empower each other.

3 people in the story
Elisha, student, axe head
Is it worth retrieving?
Community of Jesus is a community of recovery.
Luke 15 the woman found her lost coin and called her community to come celebrate.

God's community is not a community of efficiency. All belong. We support each other.

Eph 1.9, 10 God has revealed the mystery of his will. He wants to recover everyone. In Jesus people encountered the living love and grace of God. V20 God raised Jesus from the dead. The church now is the completeness of Christ. That is now the place of the community of believers, the church.

Do you encounter love and grace in the church? Do you find embrace? That is how we help each other.

Mario from Forward House was baptized here 3 years ago. 188 co founder. Belonging with no judgement has been a blessing. Strengthen my faith. Blessing for all those who come through there.

How has the community help you? Born RC walked away from God. Between Dave and others at EasTview.org I've grown.

Vision is to be more involved at http://www.one88.org/ and help others. Never really turned away from God even through incarceration. God can bless the worst people and give the same freedom. Show love and respect.

Jesus conquers the grave!
Savior he can move the mountains.

Big Buts of the Bible

Getting to the But of Love! www.TheMeetinghouse.com
Spock and captain Kirk
In a previous episode Spock died to allow others to live.
When Jesus died he died for his enemies and friends.
Rom 5. Go get a Bible.
Left Behind came out and no one went to see it. If you do go leave a set of clothes in the seat.
Almost Normal is a new video about young people committed to serve Jesus.

Distance Group. Oshawa has a house church group.

ISIS ISLAM & JESUS a 3 week series coming up

Rom 5:6-8
Justification just as if I'd never sinned.
Out of the gift of grace God forgives and we want to live a life of love.
Reconciliation - a separation a brokenness that should be bought back together.
Reconciliation is only a Christian concept. The God of the universe wants to be friends with us.
God's love has been poured into our hearts. We often tune that out. Internal and external love.
While we were still sinners (enemies) (bad guys)Christ died for us!
There is no category for this kind of hero in human literature.
The God of the old Testament did a lot of slaying. Jesus said love is the real God.  Jesus shows us who God really is.
1. God has always been about self sacrifice
2. We have always been about self preservation
3. God works with us where we are it. Eg kings of Israel. Accommodation. God is good with a tent. David wanted a temple. God said ok then. God uses what people want. The old Testament should be read with tears. God hates a lot of the old Testament.
Does God love the rebellious child? Yes. God does not force you to attend the party. He invites you to come! He wants to make you his child.
Forgive
Parents family spouse (former) friends enemy
1. Love is a choice
2. Love is offered to everyone
3. Love is given regardless of emotions
4. Love does not passively tolerate wrongs
5. Love asks How can I help you?

Setbacks

Delbert Enns www.EasTview.org

Is it fair for mom to slave away preparing thanksgiving dinner and everyone gobbles it up before she has a chance to sit down? All she gets is left overs.

Sometimes we face setbacks. When 1+1=0

Following Christ is not a straight line. More like a zigzag.
Jesus must become greater and I must become less and less.

Where is God when nothing works? Friends let you down. Kids in trouble?

Elisha was a prophet and one of the students at the school died. The widow got in trouble.
Elisha said: what do you need? What do you have? Just some olive oil. He makes her do something. Borrow jars (become a begger) and pour oil to fill them all. Do something! Pray. NOW!

Knock and the door will be open. God wants us to beg.

The widow poured oil until all the jars were full. Now she had to go sell door to door.

The woman of Shunam has a son that died. She asked Elisha to come back. The boy comes back to life when Elisha does mouth to mouth.

Jesus come upon me and warm me up!

Essentials. Faith

Dave Ens www.EasTview.org
Obedience helps our faith to grow. We need faith for obedience.
Humans live by faith. We have faith that people will stop at the red light. If we buy a can of tuna we have faith that there will be tuna in that can.
A life of faith is fundamentally opposed to comfort. It is a journey without maps.
Heb 11:1-3 The substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. A substantial reality. Drives Action. Changes lives. Conviction. A substantial vision. Engages your mind. A course of action.

Build your way off this faith. Rom 5 justified by faith we have peace and friendship with God. The glory of God changes everything. God's act of grace makes peace with God. The substantial vision of grace changes our lives. God is asking us to move closer.

Look at Abraham. He is a good example to us. God wants to make us a blessing. He followed God. His father was supposed to go to Canaan. He stopped his journey before he got there. He was comfortable in Hiram. Then God called Abraham and he did obey. He went all the way God asked him to go to.

Take another step and follow. The next step will be even better. A bigger better vision.

God has more for you. Not just good enough but so much more.

Paul talks in Rom 14 about Abraham. The promise was to all nations. God calls into existence things that don't exist. Abraham became the father of many nations. He was fully convinced that God was going to do it. Perseverance.

70% of people who said they were Christians said their faith made no difference to their actions. James said that faith without action is dead. Lots of people believe in God but are stuck in mediocre mud.

God give me a vision to love the unlovable. Busines is no excuse. Jesus took the cross to show his love.

The bread and the wine demonstrate Jesus love

What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
Oh precious is the flow that makes me white as snow.

Righteousness

Pastor Collin Bell www.AustinEFC.com
Eph 6:13-18
A young boy went fishing picked up a red worm and got bitten. He cought lots of big cat fish. Each time he put new worm on his hook he got bitten.  Eventually he didn't feel so good. He died before he got to the hospital. Like Satan these baby rattle snakes gave a small bit poison each time.
Paul looked at the Roman soldier putting on his breastplate for protection. Righteousness is the important part of a Christian's armour. If you lose that you lose your life. You shall be holy God says.

Righteousness comes at amazing costs. God is holy. He can't stand sin. That's the mark to strive for. I can't do this. I need help to put us in right standing. David said purge me. I can't do it myself. God needs to wash us.
Rom 3.21, 23 the righteousness of God through faith. No matter who you are we share "for all have sinned" We all need Jesus's righteousness imputed. When God looks at us he sees Jesus righteousness. Rom 8:1 there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.

Amazing love how can it be that you my God would die for me?

Rom 5:20-6:2 how can we who died to sin still live in it complacently. We are called to holiness. We need to walk in newness of life. Not enslaved to sin. Not playing with rattlers.

2 Cor 6:2, 7 Paul reminds us that now is the day of salvation.

God works in us to righteousness and holiness. Righteousness protects us from ourselves.

Hosaiah 10:12-13 time to seek the Lord. Time to allow holiness in us.

Our righteousness will not get us to heaven.

Are we honoring God? Nothing is more important than a right relationship to with God.

Discipleship & Learning

Pastor Bruxy at www.TheMeetinghouse.com
Exists to make disciples of Jesus.
To say "Jesus is Lord" is to say...
1. Jesus is the center of everything
2. Jesus shows us what God is like
3. I choose to be an apprentice of Jesus (250 times the NT calls us that)

To be a physical mentor. Being mentored by our leader. Who is not visible. We need The Book

We are saying follow me as I follow Christ.
Rom 10:8-9
Matt 28:18-20
2 Tim 2:2 I have taught Timothy to teach others who will teach others
1 Cor 4:14-17
Jesus is Lord is a challenge for western Christians.
Follow me and I will make you fishers of people.
If you ever say I have it all figured out you have pride and you go back to the beginning.
When we teach we learn. Seneca.
FROSH your homework is to teach one person what you learn each week.
Are you coming back next week? We want to grow the Christian. Home church should be a safe place. Sunday mornings are the invitation for everyone to explore Christ.
Hospitality says join us in our environment. No need to prepare a big entertainment dinner.
Be friendly. Initiate conversation. Practice hospitality.
The protege effect. Find one person who is alone and be their friend.

Essential by design. God's

Del Enns pastor www.EasTview.org
Excitement confusion happens in life. Health challenges family uncertainty.
Unleashed the book Perry wrote.
Sometimes we get stuck in life. Waiting for someone to notice us. God what's for me? Following Jesus one step at a time.
One day Jesus walked along the shore and called his disciples: Follow me!
He calls us to action. Put down your fishing net.
We want to know what the end steps are. Some of us become complacent.
Romans oh how great are God's riches
It's not about me. There is a next step for you. A divine creator purpose. Touch someone. Elisha is the colour orange lived on conviction.

Ahab Jezebell Elijah

God called Elijah to anoint Elisha. He was plowing with 1 of 12 yoke of oxen in the field.
After the fire on the alter Elijah is stuck in depression. He wants to quit.

EFree Church Falcon Lake

Prayer by opening leader in Kansas:
We have ridiculed the time honoured values and called it enlightenment.

Pastor Brian Hamilton
www.MissionalPursuit.WordPress.com @afccanada

Music by Olympic champion Michelle Sawatsky and sisters: Jesus you are the one to make my day bright and guide my life.

Michelle and her dad: At the river of Jordan you are all alone. You'll leave it all behind. Friends can't help you then.

Michelle and her dad, nieces and nephews: Amen see him in the garden bearing all my sorrows Amen amen

Michelle and youngest sister: Remember me. In a Bible cracked and faded in the years. When the cover of the sunset fills the sky. When the children leave the Sunday school. Child of wonder. Child of God.

Message:
Pray for our nation's leaders. Blessed are the peace makers. Jenna and her husband are going to Jordan. Pray for Christians everywhere.
We stand in awe of God's greatness.
We pray for freedom to proclaim the gospel.

Jonah's journey. The next chapter.
The world's worst missionary.
Jonah 2:17 The whale swallowed him. Snatched from the jaws of death. What swallowed Jonah? Big Fish.
Jonah thought he was geographical God. He thought he could run from God. But the hound of heaven chased him. Sperm whale feeds on giant squid. James Bartley survived being swallowed by a whale. If God wanted a special fish to protect Jonah, that's no problem. When Jonah woke up he dealt with the underlying issues. The belly of the fish is not a great place to live but a great place to learn. It bothered him now to be separated from God.
Commence prayer now. When he was at the end of his rope he prayed and repented. He prayed back the word of God. He quoted the psalms. Thanksgiving. Why was he thankful? God had turned him from rebellion. Then he prayed in contrition. He confessed the Lord. I turn to you Lord. About face. Go in the right direction. Say God I'm sorry.

Lady read her Bible on the airplane. Man next to her questioned her about Jonah. How did he survive? When I get to heaven I'll ask him. What if Jonah isn't there? Then you ask him.

Lord fill me with your grace so I can praise you.

Michelle on piano: From the love of my own comfort help me God.  Deliver me oh God. When I taste your goodness I shall not want.

Josh's girlfriend tells him to sign the God is dead statement. He feels he needs to defend God. The professor will fail him if he can't convince the students.
After three lectures Josh convinced all the students that God is alive.

The Newsboys have a concert in town and everyone gets saved.

Calvin Joel Dueck 1995 - 2014

Calvin was a strong swimmer having fun at Lake St Malo when he got caught by the weeds. He fought them but was unable to kick the weeds off his legs. Even though he was with a life guard and an off duty policeman, his short time on earth was over last Saturday at age 19.

Left to mourn are his parents,  one sister, 3 brothers and countless friends and relatives.

He loved sports and won a string of medals including MVP and the golden glove.

Weird Animals

Weird Animals vacation Bible school starts today at www.EasTview.org

Interview Amanda Dacombe,  a nurse. She tries to let people see her as a beacon of light in the cardiac department. When prompted by God she shares her care, planting seeds and listening.

The Hidden Treasure
What are our treasures? House, car, jewelry, money, traditions?

Jesus came to tear down the wall of separation.
Jesus is the treasure
Treasure that is what you are Jesus you're my shining star nothing else compares to you Jesus I will treasure you. You are my treasure Lord. I will treasure you!

Pastor Del:
Our needs are so different. Thousands or hundreds of dollars. Is it worth it? We have different values. Do I want it or really need it?

In grade 5 I wanted a donkey. It was free! Very disappointed when he couldn't get it.

Is it worth it?
The game of worth risk reward happens every day. Father was a soldier hoping for liberation. When the allies came they were happy to surrender.

Jesus wanted us to know that there is a cost to follow him. To be his disciple we must carry the cross. Luke 14

Matthew 13 the kingdom of heaven is like a treasure. Legal property? The Jewish law says finders keepers. Roman law says owners own. So he needed to buy the property. The treasurer is hidden in plain sight. Difficult to find because we are born blind. Jesus needs to open our eyes to see.

If all you want is something that's "good for me" you'll never find the hidden treasure.

The man was working the land digging deep enough to find the treasure. Everyday work. Christ is there. Right in front of you. Wherever you are.

Brother Lawrence wrote the practice of the presence of God.

Songs Willkommen, liebste Freunde hier
Ringe recht, wenn Gottes Gnade
1 Peter 2:11, 12
Beloved brethren and sisters in the Lord. God draws his people to salvation. Jesus teaches us not to serve 2 masters. Give up every form of evil. Those who give up everything will get the everlasting rewards and eternal life. Love as brothers bless everyone. The face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

Kneel for prayer

11Dear friends, I warn you as "temporary residents and foreigners" to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against your very souls. 12Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God when he judges the world.

Beloved.  Our text says we should have faith and abstain from fleshly lust. They war against the soul. I am a stranger and sojourner. Consider King David. He was humble and prayed for forgiveness when he sinned. Obedience is better than sacrifice. Saul was disobedient and did not surrender to God and his word or seek forgiveness. Abstain from all lusts. Overcome evil with the spirit of God.
Deny the lusts of fancy clothes and furniture. Live simple lifestyle.
He that does the word of God will live forever. Cut off your right hand if it causes you to sin,  our loving saviour said.  Don't give sin any room. Avoid fortification and lusting after other women.
The old man is irrevocably bad. As you live for Christ you will suffer persecution. Walk circumspectly. Always be ready to give an answer for your faith. Live peaceably with all men. Overcome evil with good. Let the light of Christ shine. Christ was rejected by the world. Be the light of the world.
By this shall all men know that you love Jesus if you love one another. Abel suffered. Many were killed for righteousness. Daniel was cast into the lion's den. The anti-Christ is doing everything he can to destroy us. Run with patience the race set before us.

Kneel for silent prayer.

May the Lord hear our prayer and be merciful to us.
